Its been great to share my passion for yoga, trail running and mountain biking with regular RunYoga students over several years.  Here is what these students have to say about RunYoga classes...

RunYoga classes incorporate the physical stretching and strengthening aspects of yoga, using the breath to assist with movement.

The typical structure of a RunYoga class is:
  1. Breathing Exercises (Pranayama) - Focus
  2. Flexibilities - Warm-up muscles & joints
  3. Physical Postures (Asana) - Stretching & strengthening
  4. Relaxation - Consolidation & reflection

Each RunYoga class is designed to specifically benefit different aspects of your running and biking, including breathing, posture and flexibility, with explanations provided so that you can fully appreciate these benefits and integrate them into your chosen sport.

RunYoga classes also include running-related concentration and relaxation exercises to ensure that you can run with ease and focus.
The type of yoga taught in RunYoga classes is Hatha yoga.  Hatha yoga practice incorporates postures (asana), breathing practices (pranayama), and relaxation techniques.   Find out more about some of the yoga poses included in RunYoga classes by clicking on this link.

If you want to build physical and mental strength through a range of different yoga techniques, then hatha yoga is a great choice for you.
